I like to encourage aspiring chefs to teach others what they know,to go out in our communities, doing cooking demos speaking in job fairs or giving lectures on college campuses. "Show the younger generation our trade" make them intrested, they are our future. "I remember cooking for the first time,it was out of neccesity, mom & dad would go fishing hours on end & wouldn't be home till late, so i had to cook for myself. Nothing hard some scamble eggs with sausages,"no big whoop" mind you I was just 9 yeras old,but that didn't matter, I accomplished something & it turned out great" Here I am talking to guest about food presentations & flavor combinations.This is the best part of the job, being able to converse with people & talk about my passion for FOOD! Below: It's the annual "Taste Of hawaii" this event is one of the biggest on the Islands & getting bigger & bigger every year!The great folks at the rotary club of kauai & the many volunteers put on this spectacular event & benefits kauai's charity organizations.60-70 food & beverage station are involved,along with local bands performing various tunes from Hawaiian, contemporary to country, we have somthing for everyone, located on Smith's tropical lua ground. | |
